Turkestan’s new 2019 - 2020 winter collection is «Traces», a collection that explores a beautiful series of organic motifs with soft colours. «Traces» are lost designs, designs that are not complete anymore or forgotten designs: they are traces of designs.

The carpets and kilim from «Traces» are from Iran and follow the ancient hand-knotting techniques. The pieces share their handmade manufacturing process, the use of natural dyes and the best wool coming from the sheep breed by the nomadic tribes.

From the city of Isfahan come the “Ispahan” carpets, hand knotted in wool and silk and featuring blurry floral designs. The northern region of Mazandaran offers the traditional “Banneh” kilims, with their distinctive stitched stripes with geometric designs. From the southern region of Fars we have selected new “Kashkluli” (Gabbeh) carpets, with minimalist designs and contrasting colours. Lastly, from the Yezd region, we have chosen the “Reverse” kilims that can be used on one side, or upside-down.
