We are often asked if the current designs of our Gabbeh type Iranian rugs are old or newly created.
We usually answer that, over time, traditional drawings have been transformed and have incorporated new influences and interpretations in their craftsmanship, but generally maintaining their original references.
Our Transitions collection aims to show some examples of this idea through a series of pieces produced by Zollanvari International, specialists in reviving traditional old Gabbeh designs for their contemporary designs.
We present a series of pieces in which various motifs survive in this process of evolution, cause "transitions" and represent a reference of inspiration for new artistic creations.
Each new carpet is unique in itself and is, at the same time, the result of all these "transitions".
